Janice McCafferty Communications has worked with countless celebrity hairstylists over the years. Most recently, we collaborated with Laurie Heaps (@_hairbylaurie), a Los Angeles based artist known for her TV and red-carpet looks, helping to promote her work to top media outlets. Specifically, we conducted media outreach to promote the new hair color, cut and style transformations Laurie did for her celebrity clients.
Two of our most successful partnerships involved promoting the haircuts she created for actresses Rowan Blanchard and Barbie Ferreira.
We worked with Laurie to promote the pixie cut she gave to Rowan Blanchard prior to the Golden Globes. By cutting off almost nine inches of hair, Laurie created an edgy, iconic style, which we introduced to the media through a press release written like a beauty story. The release detailed the inspiration behind the new look, exactly how it was cut, and how to style the perfect pixie.
Vogue, Behind The Chair, Refinery29, PopSugar, Yahoo News, StyleCaster, W Magazine, Revelist, Yahoo Lifestyle, HelloGiggles, Bustle, Elite Daily, Rue Now, Brit.co, Byrdie, Beauty Launchpad, Style Bistro, InStyle, Salon Magazine, and more all featured Laurie’s work.
Deemed the “it” cut of 2020, we worked with Laurie to share how she created Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira’s new mullet. We wrote up an editorial-like press release, sharing exclusive details on how the cut was achieved along with her styling tips for the trend. We supplied this to all of the major beauty outlets which resulted in press worldwide for Laurie as a top, trendsetting stylist to the stars.
Her quotes were featured in outlets like Glamour, Modern Salon, PopSugar, StyleCaster, InStyle, Yahoo Lifestyle, ELLE, Hola!, Flare, Who What Wear, Elite Daily, MSN, Health, Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands, Nylon, InStyle Spain, HelloGiggles, PopSugar Australia, Yahoo News, HLN Belgium and more.
Nearly, all articles online talking about mullets featured quotes from Laurie due to our extensive contacts in the beauty space.
