Hiring a Publicist…for your Wedding?
Have you ever been flipping through your city’s socialite magazine and come across a great wedding spread? Think magazines like Modern Luxury CS in Chicago, LA Social in Los Angeles and Social Magazine in New York City. While there is usually some connection between the couple and the magazine, there is no reason that can’t be you if you’re doing something special for your wedding.
Perhaps you’re traveling to Kleinfeld’s for your Pnina Tornai gown, renting out Shedd Aquarium for the breathtaking views, or taking your flowers to the level of Kim & Kanye. These lavish decisions are exactly what society writers are looking to highlight. However, even the most intimate, simple ceremonies are in the running. Wedding writers, blogs, and magazines love all real life weddings; you just need great photography.
Though it may sound crazy, if you want to bring attention to your wedding and solidify you name in social circles, publicizing your wedding can help. The catch is that you’ll have to be willing to let the media into your life…but then again, you’re probably OK with that if you’re looking to make your nuptials as the talk of the town.
So, if you hire a wedding planner, why not have a wedding publicist to show off your big day?
