Is Your Skincare Eyelash Extension Safe? Meet the Korean Cleansing Balm That Passes the Test

Lash extensions can cost anywhere from $100 to $300 per set and require refills every 2–3 weeks, costing an additional $50–$150. As a result, wearing eyelash extensions requires extra care to ensure their longevity and maintain the bonds with artificial eyelash glue. Unfortunately, traditional cleansers can weaken these adhesive bonds, causing premature detachment. However, Vitabrid C12’s Daily-C Biome Cleansing Balm was designed with this specific challenge in mind!

Undergoing Japan’s Matsukaze Eyelash Extension Oil Cleansing Evaluation, this test assessed the safety of the Daily-C Biome Cleansing Balm when used on eyelash extensions. It aimed to evaluate whether the cleansing balm would weaken the adhesion of artificial eyelash glue, potentially leading to premature detachment.

Key Findings

The test utilized a T-peel adhesion strength method with an ethylcyanoacrylate-based adhesive (Shoufu GIPS glue) to measure the force required to peel extensions after balm application. The results showed an adhesion strength of 0.017 N/m.

This level of adhesion strength is sufficient without causing significant detachment, ensuring the balm is safe for use with eyelash extensions. The findings meet compliance standards, confirming the product’s compatibility with artificial eyelashes.
