We were honored to help our K-Beauty client, mixsoon, secure a national spotlight on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where the brand donated $5,000 to The Beauty Project Foundation.
Founded in 2023 by Jillian Haun, The Beauty Project Foundation is a Nevada-based nonprofit connected to The Beauty Project Salon, an eco-conscious and inclusive space in Midtown Reno. The organization was created to make beauty and self-care services more accessible to people experiencing financial hardship while ensuring that professional service providers are paid for their work.
Through its Beauty Without Bounds initiative, the foundation offers sliding-scale and pay-what-you-can services, including haircuts, facials, and massages. These services are provided by professional stylists, estheticians, massage therapists, and local provider partners. At its core, the foundation reframes beauty and self-care as essential, not a luxury, recognizing the role these services can play in confidence, mental health, dignity, and human connection.
In 2025, The Beauty Project Foundation supported 18 recipients, delivered 79 services, and generated $8,724 in service value. The organization is also expanding its Pay It Forward Directory, with providers in Nevada, Kansas, and Missouri helping lay the groundwork for growth beyond Reno.
